Concrete Additions
Extending what's already there — wider drives, bigger patios, new slabs tied to old

An addition is a new slab that has to live next to an old one: the driveway widened by four feet, the patio extended past the roof line, a pad added beside the garage for the boat, a slab for the room addition tied to the existing foundation, a walkway joined to the front stoop. The work is in the join — matching the height so there is no lip, doweling the new slab into the old so they move together, and choosing a finish and a joint line so the seam reads as intended rather than as a patch. We do a lot of this on older Sarasota and Bradenton homes where the original drive was poured for one car and the family now has three.
